Trump Hopes You Won’t Hear This | Bless Your Heart | Ep. 9

Trump stood up at the Republican convention and had a room full of grown adults raise their right hands and swear they'd "cheat like hell." Bless their hearts — at least they said it out loud.

Southern comedian Cliff Cash walks the 2026 midterms from the woods: mid-decade gerrymanders carving up Black districts across the South, the fight over mail ballots (led by a man who votes by mail), an FBI director who won't promise to keep agents away from your polling place, and the election-security teams that got quietly shut down. Then it's Texas, where Ken Paxton is running against a seminarian, and Michigan, where MAGA would very much like you scared of Abdul El-Sayed. Plus the debut of Calling Cowards with Cliff (Sen. Thom Tillis's voicemail had a day) and a brand-new voice from across the aisle: MAGA Voices. Political comedy with a drawl and a receipt for everything.

THIS WEEK'S CALL TO ACTION Vote first. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3 — find your polling place before you do anything else.

Then come say it to their faces: Tuesday, Nov. 3, 12 noon, Cliff will be out front of Fox News headquarters, 1211 Avenue of the Americas, New York City, megaphone in hand. Goal: 300 people on the sidewalk. Loud, peaceful, legal.

Monday, Nov. 9 — Welcome Back, Congress. Congress comes back to DC, and so do we. Walk into Republican offices with FLARE, script in hand, and hand-deliver the House Judiciary Democrats' 53-page report on Trump and Epstein. Can't get to DC? The same page has a lookup tool to call, email, fax, or visit your rep's district office: flareusa dot org

Sunday, Jan. 3 — DC again. Jan. 3 is the day the new Congress is sworn in. Before they do anything else, they call the roll of members-elect and decide who gets seated — and the House picks a Speaker. If anybody's planning to refuse a seat somebody won fair and square, that's the room where it happens. Get there Jan. 2 if you can. Details: flareusa dot org ---

ABOUT THE SHOW A voice of reason with a Southern accent. Comedian Cliff Cash takes on politics, social issues, and the state of the republic — filmed in the great outdoors, from the foothills of South Carolina to the Hollywood Hills. News breakdowns, hypocrisy called out wherever he finds it, and conversations with activists, organizers, fellow comedians, and the occasional politician brave enough to show up. Every episode ends with something you can actually do about it. Bless your heart — you're gonna need it. New episodes weekly.

George Carlin speech at the National Press Club (May 13, 1999)

"George Carlin delivered a humorous speech in which he made fun of Washington politics and the language of politics. He also talked about America's penchant for euphemism and about labeling minorities. After his remarks he answered questions submitted from the audience."
